Is a dental implant better than a bridge?

In most cases, yes. A dental implant replaces the missing tooth root and doesn’t rely on neighboring teeth, which preserves the integrity of the surrounding dentition. It also prevents bone loss by stimulating the jawbone. Bridges may be more cost-effective upfront, but they require adjacent healthy teeth to be shaved down, which is a significant disadvantage. Implants are generally a more durable and long-term solution.
